The Process
1. Data Sourcing
We source the data for your map: NASA topographic data, street vectors, satellite imagery and waterways, for anywhere in the world.
When you order, just tell us the focus address and we'll centre the map on it.
2. Drafting
We clean up the data and get it ready for laser cutting. We draft a custom legend and add labels for the places that matter to you or the recipient.
We email you the first digital draft to review, then make any changes you'd like. Most maps are approved by the third draft, and we keep going until you're happy.
3. Laser Fabrication
We paint, sand and varnish the wood, then laser engrave and cut it.
We assemble your map by hand and set it in an oak frame, ready to hang.
4. Packaging & Dispatch
We bubble wrap and box your map securely.
Then we ship it with DHL Express and email you the tracking.
Choose from two styles:
Topographic - layered 3D contours that show the shape of the land. Best for rural and rugged places.
Relief - raised roads with engraved terrain detail. Best for towns and cities.
Both styles work for larger areas too, like states and whole countries.
