1. Show us the place
Confirm the location to be mapped. If you have a screenshot or property map that helps with with generating the preview, but it's not critical. We will source all the data and confirm it with you - topography, property boundaries, roads and waterways.

We'll email you a free digital preview of the property. No charge. No obligation. This is how you know it is the right gift before anyone pays for timber.
3. We draft it with you
After a 50% deposit to lock a production slot, we iterate. You get a draft by email, mark changes, we incorporate your changes and send the next one. Nothing is cut until you give the green light. Most pieces take three drafts. Allow about two weeks for this stage, four days a draft. Tight date? Say so on the form below - for a fee we can expedite your map from about 24 days to 10.
4. We make it, frame it, and ship it
Second 50% when you approve the design. We prepare the basswood (varnish, stain, or paint), laser-engrave and cut it, hand-assemble, and set it in the oak frame. DHL Express is included with all orders: 2-4 business days to the US and Australia, most other countries within 5. You get the tracking. No surprise bill at the door. We cover all duties and tariffs.
If the country is gentle
After crafting 800+ maps, I've honed my judgement on setting a contour interval that creates a 3D form that isn't too flat, or too vertically exaggerated and full of cliffs. Fence lines, the house, dams and waterways carry a lot of the picture on gentler ground. We also have a range of design techniques such as engraved hill shades and vegetation hatching that can be incorporated as suitable.
Not happy with the map?
30 days after it arrives: if you or the recipient does not love it, send it back for a full refund. In the unlikely case it's damaged in transit, we'll replace it. The piece is built to last, that's why we have a 5-year warranty.
What it costs
Full price for custom farm maps start from USD $750, the medium is $1150, the large is $1690. 50% deposit holds the timber and production slot; then 50% when you approve the design. The preview is free so you are not buying blind.

I only have the address. Is that enough?
Yes. We source boundaries, terrain and roads. A screenshot or title plan helps and speeds the first preview. It is not required.
What is the difference between the free preview and the real drafts?
The preview is a first look at the land so you can decide. The paid drafts are the design we will cut - contours, labels, legend, boundaries, waterways. Most designs are approved by the third draft.
How long until the map is delivered?
Preview within 48 hours. Then about two weeks of drafting, one week to make the physical piece, and 2-4 business days for DHL to the US and AU.
Need it sooner? Ask for expedited - for a fee we can compress that to 10 days.
When do I pay?
Nothing for the preview. 50% to start the proper drafts and hold a production slot. The remaining 50% when you approve the design.
There are so many styles. How do I choose?
You don't have to. After the preview we will send through a quick survey of techniques, you mark the styles you like.
During the drafting process we'll recommend which styles will look best for the location.
Do you cover shipping, tariffs and duty?
Yes. DHL Express Worldwide is included with all orders, and we cover import duty and tariffs. The tracking emails are just tracking - not a bill at the door.
Can I add tracks, dams, or place names later?
Yes. During drafting. We will not cut until those are right.
Is this a good gift if they already have photos of the farm?
Photos show a moment. This shows the real 3D form of the land - the ridge behind the sheds, the front dam, the old boundary. That is why it stays on the wall and why it works for people who are hard to buy for.
