1. Show us the place
Confirm the location to be mapped. A screenshot or property map helps, but it's not critical. We source all the data and confirm it with you - topography, property boundaries, roads and waterways.
2. Choose your style
Tick the looks you like in our quick style survey and we'll email you a style recommendation for the property within 24 hours.
3. We draft it with you
Once you order, we iterate. You get a draft by email, mark changes, we incorporate your changes and send the next one. Nothing is cut until you give the green light. Most maps are approved by the third draft, and we keep going until you're happy. Allow about two weeks for this stage, four days a draft. Tight date? Let us know when you order - for a fee we can expedite your map from about 3 weeks to about 10 days.
4. We make it, frame it, and ship it
Once you approve the design, we prepare the basswood (varnish, stain, or paint), laser-engrave and cut it, hand-assemble, and set it in the oak frame. Physical fabrication takes about one week. Then we ship it with DHL Express, included with all orders: 2-4 business days to the US and Australia, 2-6 to NZ, Canada, Europe and other countries. You get the tracking. No surprise bill at the door. We cover all duties and tariffs.
If the country is gentle
We've now made over 800 maps. We've iterated and reflected on the 3D forms that look best. So you can be confident that we'll make you a piece that isn't too flat, or vertically exaggerated and full of cliffs.
Fence lines, the house, dams and waterways carry a lot of the picture on gentler ground. We also have a range of design techniques such as engraved hill shades and vegetation hatching that can be incorporated as suitable.
Love it, or return it
30 days after it arrives: if you or the recipient does not love it, send it back for a full refund. In the unlikely case it's damaged in transit, we replace it. Our maps are built to last, with a 5 year warranty.
What it costs
Custom farm maps are USD $650 small, $990 medium and $1290 large, paid in full when you order. Nothing is cut until you approve the design, so you are not buying blind.

We email you a style recommendation within 24 hours. When you are ready, place your order and we start the drafts - contours, labels, legend, boundaries, waterways. Most maps are approved by the third draft, and we keep going until you're happy.
How long until the map is delivered?
Style recommendation within 24 hours. After you order: about two weeks of drafting, then about one week of physical fabrication. Then DHL Express ships it: 2-4 business days to the US and AU, 2-6 to NZ, CA, EU and other countries.
Need it sooner? Ask for expedited - for a fee we can compress that to 10 days.
When do I pay?
In full when you order. The style survey and any questions by email beforehand are free, so you can be sure before you pay.

During the drafting process we'll recommend which styles will look best for the location.
Do you cover shipping, tariffs and duty?
Yes. DHL Express Worldwide is included with all orders, and we cover import duty and tariffs. The tracking emails are just tracking - not a bill at the door.
Can I add tracks, dams, or place names later?
Yes. During drafting. We will not cut until those are right.
Is this a good gift if they already have photos of the farm?
Photos show a moment. This shows the real 3D form of the land - the ridge behind the sheds, the front dam, the old boundary. That is why it stays on the wall and why it works for people who are hard to buy for.
